Bengaluru is connected by mysore banglore express highway which is a delight for a car driver.Expressway is near and clean. You can go upto the speed of 110-120 km/hr without feeling any discomfort.

One can stay in mysore and visit surrounding areas very comfortably. You can hire a taxi from mysore and can cover in one day Belur, Halebid and sravanbelagola if you start little early in the morning.

You can trek uphill to have a good view and darshan of Gomateshwara at sravanbelagola. For a healthy person it can be covered in 30-40min. You can trek uphill have darshan and come back.

Belur and Halebid are architectural marvels. You will need minimum 45-60min. Better to engage guide so that all the important things are well covered.

Somnathpur very close to mysore is again built in a same Hoysala architecture.

Veera narayana temple belavadi close to Halebid has a beautiful idol. Details are so well inscribed. It’s a treat to the eyes
