This statue depicts the Asura demon king Mahishasura, who was killed by the Hindu goddess Durga, also known as the goddess Chamundi. The statue is much larger than life, very colourful and depicts the asura with a sword in his right hand, while holding a snake in his left. The statue is much larger than life.
The statue is located on Chamundi Hill where legend has it he was killed by Durga.
