A Century year old water treatment plant for supply of drinking water to KGF Town constructed by British Government in 1900's with the Permission of then Mysore Government and still its working.
Bethamangala Lake water is treated purified and supplied to Kgf town even today, we can see more than 100 years old water tanks in KGF city.
Palar River and Lake water are the Main sources of water for the daily needs of people.
