Toscano is a popular chain of restaurants in Bengaluru known for offering premium dining experiences with their flamboyant ambience and delicious food. We had recently visited their branch at Nexus Shantiniketan for a quick lunch and loved the food, service and ambience. We decided to visit their Varthur branch because it was rated the highest on Zomato. But we were let down and how. Right off the bat, the ambience was lousy due to a house-flies situation which one wouldn't expect while setting foot in an expensive fine-dine restaurant. In starters, we had their jalapeno garlic bread which tasted good. In mains, we ordered their chicken risotto and pesto pasta which cost 750 bucks each. The Risotto was runny and didn't taste good while the pasta was decent but the taste did not justify the exorbitant cost. In desserts, we had their kahlua mousse which was the saving grace of the meal. It tasted good and was well presented but the portion size could have been more generous. Overall, we were put off by their lousy ambience coupled with a badly prepared chicken risotto which we could otherwise get past but not when we are charged premium prices. Please look into these aspects.

The food was absolutely top notch delicious! We ordered duck confit... Calamari prawn fritters both were amazing... totally a must order!! Pizza was average... For an Italian place I would expect the pizza to be much much better.. Pizza was a Miss for me rest everything was amazing.

During my visit to Toscano Place, I was captivated by the wonderful ambiance, enhanced by a talented singer performing enjoyable songs. The restaurant's selection of good wine perfectly complemented the meal, which included a very good pizza that left a lasting impression.

What truly stood out, though, was the minestrone soup – it was nothing short of amazing. The flavors were rich and satisfying, and the texture was just right. Overall, my experience at Toscano Place was truly delightful.
