Mystery Owl Escape Rooms

Bored of same things to do every weekend? Then it's time to give Escape Rooms a shot. This is definitely the place to be if you are looking for something different. Parking can be difficult, so be sure to park somewhere near MSR college and be here before time.

There are 5 different themes here. We got to try the University of Witchcraft & Wizardry room based on Harry Potter. The host explained the theme and rules clearly before we entered the room. The room itself was designed intricately with well placed clues. If you need a tough challenge, try to do it with minimal people. We were able to solve and escape just around the hour mark.

Only issue was when we asked for a hint, it took a long time for the moderator to respond to us. But otherwise it was such a incredible and different experience. Do note, you will have to leave your phones and smartwatches in a locker. Will definitely return to try the other rooms.

Escape rooms are one of a kind real time experience for people who like thrillers/ mysteries/suspense.

This is my second time visiting Mystery owl. The first time we played basement and this time around it was witchcraft and wizardry... both were good and moderately challenging.

The people who joined me both times were new to escape rooms and they thoroughly enjoyed the games...

These are some of the questions they had as first timers:

1. Will there be jump scares?
A: No, this is an escape room game, nothing is made to scare you, basically there wont be anyone inside to scare you. You just have to solve series of puzzles which inturn lead you to the next clue and you will eventually break out or escape from the room.

2. Will I feel claustrophobic inside?
A: You will be put into a room and locked from outside, the lighting can be dim, there will be enough ventilation though, if this makes you uncomfortable, you can always let them know, there are microphones (I guess) and cameras (for sure).
(Mobile phones, smart watches are not allowed inside the rooms. )
So, that's something you can consider before choosing to play.
Also, you will be sent along with your group, so, you may want to consider that part too..

You will be given a detailed explanation about your game by the host before you are sent inside, so you will have a fair idea of what to expect.

I always enjoy solving mysteries and will visit again to play the remaining games at mystery owl.. with yet another set of people... :)

P.S.:
1. Please go with a slot booked! As each game is played ideally for 1 hour, you will end up waiting for 1 hour if all rooms are occupied.
Also reach the place a lil earlier than the booked slot to accommodate the survey form you will be asked to fill in.

2. Parking is a bit of a pain on BEL road... so... looking for a sweet spot to park elsewhere and walking to this place is the best option.

First timers are definitely going to enjoy it. The whole experience is fantastic. The rooms are created with a lot of emphasis and attention to detail. Engaging one hour of sheer cracking puzzles and riddles. Highly recommended for corporate team events.

The place has no parking, so that can be quite challenging if your are going in big groups.
