This railway station is very good and calm it is important part to go Ranchi through Deoghar jasidih and also have good communication through roadways.
But the main problem is there is nothing to eat in the station or outside the station because of the station is far from the main locality of Dumka in there for you should bring food or don't dependent on Dumka railway station.

The very first railway station of Dumka . It has connectivity of many local trains , and a major Intercity Express to Ranchi. It's still developing & will soon provide various trains for long journeys too. Place is neat and clean and explores nature wonderfully .

Dumka railway station (station code DUMK) is a railway station serving the city of Dumka in Dumka district in the Indian state of Jharkhand on the Jasidih–Rampurhat section. It is in the Asansol division of the Eastern Railway zone of the Indian Railways. It has an average elevation of 136 metres (446 ft).The railway station has a single 5 ft 6 in (1,676 mm) broad gauge track from Jasidih Junction in Deoghar district in Santhal Pargana division of Jharkhand to Rampurhat Junction in Birbhum district of West Bengal and a single track to Bhagalpur via Mandar Hill and Hansdiha.
