State library, Shimla on the Ridge is one of the masterpiece of architecture of the ages... Its location is its uniqueness... The ridge... though the entry is restricted only for the membership holders which probably would be the local people of Shimla... but reading in the library amidst the hills of Shimla, the ridge is in itself a mesmerizing experience...

Ridge road is a large open space, located in the center of Shimla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh, India. The Ridge is the hub of all cultural activities of Shimla. It is situated along the Mall Road, which is the famous shopping center of Shimla. Most major places of Shimla like Sanjauli Snowdown (IGMC), Mall Road, Jakhu Temple, Oakover, Kali Bari, Annadale, etc. are connected through the Ridge.

Libraries and Museums ,the Temples of eternal learning are what a wonderer in me longs in moments of solitude and introspection

The State library of Shimla the easily cutest and smallest English architectural Landmark on the Ridge ,Shimla at the center of three roads with the August Company Of Mahatama to the right and the house of Gods ,the Christ Church Shimla on the right

The library still has the old world charm.with elegant study chairs and sturdy tables and boasts of the oldest collection of books

I did not see much new hard case books but the old oakwood smelling books that l love whenever i visited while studying in college there

In the days of smart phones and AI ,there is no dearth of book lovers and book clubs Shimla and thank Heavens for that
