Pabbar valley has so much to offer and Chandernahan is one of the most beautiful treks of Pabbar valley ( himachal pradesh) . This High altitude glacial lake trek has 7 lakes . The journey to this trek starts from jhanglik village the base camp of this trek . The trail is full of jaw dropping views . Huge meadows and camping next to the hanging mountains of Pabbar valley makes this trek very scenic and unforgettable. The trek grade is easy to moderate. The last day of ascending towards the lake area makes the trek a little bit of a difficult level as it's a steep climb towards the lake but it's worth it. The view and beauty of glacial lakes can't be described in words . This trek is worth experiencing and also beginners can opt for it. Beautiful, Thrilling and Divine ❤️

My adrenaline pumped like crazy when I came here. Even though it was hot and humid, it snowed last night so the way to trek up was all slippery and filled with sludge.

The trek is very dangerous one because there is steep slope to the ascent of the Chandranahan lake. It's actually very slippery if it snowed and you have to use trekking Pole.

It above altitudes of 13500 feet so cover yourself appropriately.

The lake is so pure and crystal clear and people remove their shoes and circumambulate around the lake and worship Shiva. Pahadi people consider the lake to be very sacred and worship the Chandranahan as Shiva. The story goes as Shiva emerged out of the lake and people took away the shiv ling from the place.

There are also more lakes I heard 7 probably exist further but we could not go there due to heavy snow. We prayed at the first lake, circumambulated and took pictures and came back.

There is also a waterfall nearby which takes the water from the lake and creates a stream to the Litham and goes forward. This is the starting point for the river Pabbar a tributary of Yamuna.

Due to the scary and difficult trek this feels like quite an achievement and coming down is extremely hard. So follow the instructions properly from the trek leaders and guides.

This is my best trekking experience and I will visit again for the Shiva ❤️
