Mandi, an ancient town in Himachal Pradesh is full of mysteries. The place is quite famous for its scenic beauty but it's way more than that as the town contains a lot of history and spiritual significance in its old structures and folklore.

Mandi is called the Kashi of Himachal because it shares the same spiritual significance as Kashi. The town is built on the bank of the Beas River, at the confluence of the Suketi Khad stream. Besides the river ghats and among the town's streets are over 80 stone-built ancient temples, Including Triloknath.

The Triloknath temple is one of the oldest surviving temples in the town, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. It contains a three-faced murti of Shiva, hence the name Trilokinath, "Lord of Three Worlds". It is said that the temple was built by Sultana Devi Queen of Raja Ajbar Sen in 1520. There's a sculpture of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, Goddess Narda, and Goddess Sharda, a stone image of three-faced Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, riding on the Nandi along with that of a few more Hindu Gods and Goddesses.

Ancient temple with 3 faced Shiva murti being worshipped in the temple. The temple is only 5 6 walking minutes from Victoria Bridge. The temple is peaceful and is a preservation site by ASI. Kept in its real form only, not so renovated and tampered, so a good place to experience history in pristine form. Parking would be a problem as the temple is very connected to Manali-Kullu main way. Basic amenities like washroom and shops all available nearby. Peaceful, you can hear the Beas flowing.
