There is no water in lake still a good place for morning or evening walk.

There isn’t any lake there as of now, only construction work going on and some space to walk

Once you reach this place, the only question that will pop up your mind is , Where as the Lake'. The Badhkal lake has completely dri ed up and there is no water body at present.
It was one of the top attractions of Delhi N C R from 70's to late 90's. Even late PM Indira Gandhi used to visit this place on her b'days. But thanks to unchecked mining and deforestation in the aravali hills, water levels have gone down and the lake has dri ed up.
You can spot one or two odd boats lying turtle down and boating rates painted, which tells you how big tourism spot this was, once upon a time. But successive governments have neglected this area and man has depleted nature.I remember in 80's and 90's we used to visit this place with family for picnic and the place was one of our favourite in Delhi NCR. There were camel rides, boating and food stalls to eat but mostly people used to come with their own food to enjoy with their family in lush green parks around the lake. I visited last time 7-8 years ago but now its all over. I am putting some old pics so you can have an idea what it was before and what it is now.
