What people say about Tandoori Amritsari Chole Kulche

Its raning fire from the sky and its time when most of the people sneak in their houses.

One of those day was today that i was forced to sneak out of my comfort zone to have a meeting and once done, i was super hungry. Hanging right around central, it struck me of a post posted by Kankona dey posted on 14th March of an alternate option that she took reluctantly.

Its a small lorry, placed on the extreme right ( the last one in the que ) a small charming boy on the set with his father waiting to roast fresh tandoori Kulche.

The fancy name Tandoori Amritsari Chole Kulche, i read it and had a smirk after how i have seen the word Tandoori overused and abused by a leading puff vendor by just applying tandoori mayo in it and by a leading misal brand by doing a fancy smoke in a pot filled with farsan.

Ordered for a simple option of chole kulche and the only question asked was khana hai ya parcel. i smiled and said i would eat it there.

I watched closely how he cleaned the tawa, did some basic tadka to his base choley with minimalistic oil and i had plate in front of me with

finest looking choley, 2 tandoori kulcha ( kulcha that were absolutely smoking hot, greased with butter, adequate quantity of coriender lemon chutney, and onion rings and pickled carrots and pickeled green chillies.

Took the first bite and i was in awe of how simplistic it could have been, like it was said and expected, the choley were not at all loaded with garam masala or oil, and were very light on the palate. The kulchas were stuffed with masala was another big surprise.

This all did a damage of 50 Rs on my pocket, which i did willingly with a huge smile on my face.

At times best things come from a place that you expect the least. Its always said its good to be adventurous at time, you never know you might end up fetching a rare gem.
