An absolutely beautiful collection of cactus. A must visit if you’re into these unique plants. I am glad to see that there’s a name to each cactus so you can identify it by its name. The indoor garden has been nicely arranged. You can also take a walk on the trail to see the other collections.

For plant lovers.. I think this is best place to visit but for others I think one can skip it.
The reasons are
1. If you are traveling through sightseeing bus.. It will take 1 hr and 15 minutes from central bus stand to cactus and butterfly garden. However charges are very nominal I. E. 50 rs from bus stand to garden
2. Not interested in cactus and it's uses.
Good points
1. 400+ types of cactus
2. Maintained place
3. Supporting staff.

Cactus Garden.
The entry gate to the Cactus Garden is made up of, hold your breath, Giant Cactus Plants.
You can now let out your breath because these giant cactus plants are not real. These are very artistically, beautifully, and realistically shaped and are made of translucent plastic which is realistically and brightly made in the natural colours of cactus plants. They almost look real except for their size ???? The theme is very widely used throughout the park and these coloured translucent plastic cactus plants can be seen scattered all over the cactus Garden.
The Cactus garden is quite large.
Robust and hardy cacti, succulents, and other ornamental plants are planted in the open all over the garden on both sides of the garden paths.
More exotic cacti and succulents are all planted in a beautiful octagonal greenhouse. One had never imagined cactus plants come in so many varieties. Their thorns notwithstanding could look so amazingly beautiful. One could also never imagine that some of the varieties looked very delicate besides looking beautiful. The variety of cacti, succulents, and other ornamental plants is simply mind-boggling.
There is also a three-storied viewing tower near the octagonal greenhouse. It was sad to see that flooring tiles are coming out, and other signs of neglect in the maintenance of this tower.
From the top floor of this viewing tower, one can have a breathtakingly beautiful vie of not only the cactus and butterfly garden but also of the Sardar Sarovar Dam, a Statue of unity, and the surrounding environs.
