With utmost prominence among pilgrims and devotes, the popularity of Anand as a religious place remains intact. Among several other temples and shrines, there is one small but extremely prominent place of worship that is regarded as a place of profound spiritual sanctity that is Shri Rokadia Hanuman Mandir in Anand.
Rakodia Hanuman Temple is dedicated to lord Hanuman the Monkey God. The temple is located at the top of Hanuman of Tekro also called the Hanuman Hill. The temple was constructed by king Mayurdhwaj of Kheda. It is the one of the very few temples belonging to Swaminarayan Sampraday in which the central deity is not Hanuman. And this is the only temple in which the central deity is Lord Hanuman. In other temples where human gods are not the central deity, Hanuman idols are placed along with Lord Ganpati (the Elephant God).
