Small railway station with 5-6 platforms, at present many areas of railway station is under repair/construction. Only stairs are there for going to all other platforms from platform 1. Passengers have to lift there trolly bags and cross stairs.

Station surrounding areas are clean. All amenities are available. Instead of Ahmedabad railway station one can catch train from Sabarmati like New Delhi Rajdhani which stops for 2 minutes. Less crowded. Upper class AC waiting room also opened for passengers. Paid parking for 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers @ Rs 10/20 respectively available. This station will be renovated as a world class station. Model is kept in the station.
