Gaekwad Haweli in Ahmedabad was built in the 17th century. It was the seat of Gaekwad during the Maratha rule. Later it was used by the British as barracks. Now it is used by the police. The walls of the haveli are still intact and a road runs parallel to it. Certain parts of the haveli are inhabited, as the locals have made it their home. There is no entry fee nor timings to enter the fort.

It's a very old palace kind of structure. But it isnt maintained. It's just an old monument that you can see from outside. Gives you a feel of city during the Britishers years ago.
