Sundays are HEAVILY crowded, so make sure that you have ample time with you. Management of the temple crowds is absolutely horrible. Extremely rude personnel with no management skills whatsoever. The temple premises are not that clean, and there is no clarity regarding the entry points etc. The temple is beautiful, and the four stars are only for that. Has some beautiful amalgamation of Mughal styles.

The temple is situated in the southern part of New Delhi in kalkaji, India, a locality that has derived its name from the temple and is located opposite the Nehru Place business centre and close to the Okhla railway station, kalkaji Mandir metro station. Hindus believe that the image of the Goddess Kalka here is a self manifested one.The temple complex is constructed of brick masonry finished with plaster and marble and is surrounded by a pyramidal tower. The central chamber which is 12 sided in the plan 24 feet height, with a doorway in each side is paved with marble and contains 36 arched openings or exterior doorways. In the middle of this arcade opposite the eastern doorway are two red sandstone tigers sitting on a marble pedestal. Both the pedestal, as well as the marble railings, contain Nastaʿlīq inscriptions of recent origin. Between the tigers, there is a stone image of Kali Devi with her name engraved in Hindi language.

This temple is situated in Nehru Place. Also called as manokamna (fulfilment) temple. The other name is seedha Peetha.
The main observation is , when the temple Aarti goes on between (8 to 8 30), the people who stand in queue will see the flags on top of temple symmetrically moving and when it stops, the flag movement stops to pin drop. The temple has many doors , which they open subsequently.
Best time to go it beyond 9 pm as there is no rush
Also the coconut offering in the temple is sacred and surprisingly none of the coconut are discarded. They are all collected
Don’t forget to visit bhairav ji ka temple
Kalka Mata is avatar of parvathi, who took the roop to kill Asur and her upper lips were touching clouds and lower lips moutains,so that all the blood was taken by her without any spillage so that they are not born again.
Mainly visited by females more than males.
Also , next to the temple is lotus Buddha temple but it closes by 5 pm, so plan the visit accordingly if you need to cover both the places.
Ahead of it is ISKCON temple, which closes at 9 pm.
Just outside temple is fire place where one can offer coconut to fire which is considered to be sacred.

Must visit temple located in Delhi. Good time is during winters
