The railway station is not maintained well. However the approach road to the Metro station is lined up with hawkers who leave no place to walk on the street. Its worst when you have luggage.
The lifts are not working, very difficult when you're travelling with aged parents.
There should be an internal passage to the metro station from Nizamuddin Railway station. The road is congested with repeated honking from vehicles who try to drive over you! Even some government vehicles (shiksha Vibhag) keep honking creating noise pollution and irritate passengers who are walking with luggage ????

I had a very unpleasant experience at the station. It was difficult to get a platform ticket, and the station was dirty and littered with trash. There were rats running around, and the ground was stained red with spit from people who had been chewing pan masala. I was disappointed to see that our superstars are promoting this product, which is harmful to both the individual and the country. It only leads to addiction, medical problems, and environmental pollution.
On a positive note, there was an escalator at platform 7, which was helpful.
