Munirka Metro Station is on the Magenta line of the Delhi Metro from Janakpuri West to the Botanical Garden.

There is a good market place here variety ranging from day to day household items to small furniture market is also available there.

This has 3 Entry/Exit Gates.

Gate No. 1 - CPWD colony, Vivekanand Marg

Gate No. 2 & 3 - Jain Mandir, Munirka Market, Capital Court, DDA Market, RTO office Vasant Vihar, Vasant Vihar Police Station, DTC Depot Vasant Vihar, CPWD Colony.

On June 15, my 75-year-old mother and I travelled to and fro in the Delhi metro via the Magenta line en route to Eye Hostipal in R. K. Puram. However, while returning to the Munirka station, one of the ticketing staff didn't have loose change, and the automatic machine wasn't accepting my Rs. 10 note. He first gave an excuse of just joining duty, then got two tokens for us till Janakpuri West, out of which one token showed an error at the scanning point, saying balance insufficient, owing to which my diabetic and hypertensive mother had to literally wait for ten minutes, even at the exit of Janakpuri West station, having no wheelchair facilities for senior citizens. Such is the pitiful state of affairs in the Delhi Metro when it comes to senior citizen travel. Is the Delhi Metro just for the young?

Good market for daily household items. You can find almost everything here. It has large furniture market too. Unfortunately I haven't found any new bicycle shop to buy one here.
