Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah is one of the most visited places in Delhi. The place is dedicated to the renowned Saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya. The tomb was built in 1325 after the death of Hazarat Nizamuddin. He was one of the world's most influential saints of the Sufi Chishti Order. He was the spiritual successor of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti of Ajmer.

The was renovated and decorated by Firoz Shah Tughlaq, as well as by later rulers.
The present structure was constructed by a nobleman named Faridun Khan in 1562 AD.

The structure consists of a square chamber surrounded by verandahs, which are pierced by arched openings. The dome on top of the tomb is decorated with vertical stripes of black marble and is crowned by a lotus-cresting. This grand tomb has lattice screens, marble arches, and courtyards. Devotees tie red threads to these screens with the belief that their wishes would be granted. Inside the tomb, the shrine is covered with scented dark green cloth. Devotees offer prayers, shower rose petals, and light incense sticks before the shrines.

This is the holy shrine of Muslim Sufi Saint Nizamuddin Chisti. The tombs of many other people from the Mughal era are present in the same area, which surround a tank. Known to be one of the top-visited places in Delhi, a vibe of spirituality and serenity seems to be omnipresent at the Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah, where you can find throngs of devotees even in the later hours of the evening. One of the most beautiful place. Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah is one of the peace ful place, when you enter here you'll get peace, but only the major thing is crowd bcoz everybody wants peace, ambience was so good and beautiful

When you enter here , you'll find a lot of food stalls in the lane leading to the dargah.

Tip :- submit your footwear at the counter right outside of the dargah ,
must wear duppta for girls.

I'm absolutely in love with it , it's a very peaceful ✨place with lots of stories around it , it's crowded place , in Delhi yet many peoples find inner peace over here just like me , many comes to see the glimpse of dargah offer prayers to do away their miseries.

*Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah
A wonderful experience at the tomb of the Sufi Saint Nizamuddin Aulia in Delhi, which is right opposite the much more famous and more visited huge tomb and garden of the Emperor Humayun Visiting Dargah Nizamuddin Auliya is not just a tourist experience; it is a transformative journey of the heart and spirit. It is a place where people from all walks of life come together to seek solace, find inspiration, and experience the power of devotion. My visit to this sacred shrine was a humbling and spiritually enriching experience that I will forever cherish. What struck me most during my visit was the inclusive nature of the dargah. People of all faiths and backgrounds were welcomed with open arms, fostering an environment of tolerance and acceptance. It was heartening to witness individuals from different walks of life coming together in a shared quest for spiritual enlightenment and inner peace.

* there are some annoying things

# Everyone is asking for money. Its crowded and a place buzzing with people.

1)About visit to the main shrine:
i. Men as well as Women are advised to cover their heads while entering the dargah.
ii. In case if the Dargah is crowded, it is advised to visit the Dargah with Khadim, because then you will be getting quick darshan along with the Khadim. Now, Khadims are the local preist of the Dargah who can take you directly inside so that you can offer your prayers.
iii. At the end you are advised to give some offering, either you can give the offering/donation to Khadim himself or you can ask him to take you to Dargah office where you will get receipt of the offering which you give. We prefer the later method of giving donation.
iv. Sometimes if you are lucky enough, you can see live kawalis going on in the Dargah premises.

Hope my review will help some fellow pilgrims in their pilgrimage.
