Hauz khas is the DEEPEST metro station in Delhi (about 95 ft)...it is an interchange station between Yellow and magneta line. You have to walk about 750 mtrs for interchange from Yellow to magneta and vice versa. There are many food joints in this station...chayoos, burgerking, Hira sweets, burger 1,IRCTC stalls etc ...also there is provision of toilets....during peak time it's very crowded. Enjoy your metro ride!

Clean and well built. Quite a long and important interchange between Magenta and Yellow lines of Delhi Metro. It has 4 gates. Gate 1 and 2 are on the opposite sides of the road going towards Nehru Place. While Gate number 3 opens towards the Shahpur Jat and Gate number 4 is towards Kalu Sarai. Gate number 4 is nearest to Magenta line

Hauz Khas is derived from Urdu - Hauz meaning water tank or lake and Khas meaning royal. This area dates back to the end of the 13th Century during the period of the second (of seven) city of Delhi, known as Siri. The ruins here are quite beautiful. Hauz Khas is being renovated by the Archaeological Survey of India and includes a Mosque, a seminary and a series of Muslim tombs.
