Champran meat house

I was kind of unsure of what the taste of the mutton shouldbe like... Since I had never had champaran mutton before... But hey! Even a new dish must have it's aaha moment for newbies if it's really good. That was totally absent for me. I found the taste to be avarage, no aroma. nothing worth the hype of the dish. I am sure not a repeat costomer here.

After a lot of anticipation & excitement of Champaran meat house, Today took a parcel of 250gms Mutton handi & 250gms of chicken handi.
Firstly, very sorry to say that, the signature mutton handi was not up-to the mark. Mutton used was from an aged goat or the mutton wasn't cooked properly, hence the mutton pieces were rubbery & hard. Whereas Champaran mutton is known for its softness. Bottom line : I was really disheartened.. Anyways the thick gravy tasted great.

Secondly, the chicken handi tasted awesome. Pure desi style & taste. Nicely cooked, very soft ,tender & juicy chicken. Aroma was great.

They offer some nonveg bihari cuisine. Food like ahuna mutton was ok, scope of improvement is their. Ahuna chiken (not really) boiled chiken pieces into same gravy of like ahuna mutton. I know bihari cuisine very well.
