A great place for authentic Bihari cuisine. Wide range of delicacies. A must try. Only thing is you need to pay entry fees of the museum to go to the restaurant as it is inside the museum. Full marks for the taste and a must visit.

I think this restaurant is the first one who introduced and organised the plate of Bihari cuisine. They have covered almost all main and delicious dishes from the different parts of Bihar. I was surprised when I saw that they serve not only the main dishes like ahuna mutton, ghugni....but also the small side dishes like teesi (flax seed) chatni which is very authentic and lost recipe of Bihar.
Apart from main course there desert is also good, Pineapple cake is must try dish.

Ambiance is good. Staffs will help you with the menu.

This restaurant is inside the Bihar Museum, and serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The taste is authentic Bihari on the tongue, with a wide variety of options. I ate here twice, both veg and non-veg dishes and the taste, garnishing and service was good. The price is also very good, not expensive but also not cheap to compromise on quality. I tried maithili thali (in pictures as well) and aloo-keema kebab, with cold coffees. The portions was also sufficient for a person . Definitely worth a try for lunch if you want a nice ambience, openness and a bit of history with your tasty food.
