National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna is a premier public engineering institute located in the city of Patna, Bihar. Established in 1886 as the Bihar School of Engineering, the institute was upgraded to National Institute of Technology in 2004 and is currently recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.
