Gandhiji visited this place in 1917 during satyagrah and stayed in college hostel for a night. He had bath from the water of this well and resumed the journey. This well still maintained and placed in middle of the college campus.

This place was used by Mahatma Gandhi during champaran satyagraha...this place is one of the most important historical landmark/monument , this place also consists a lot of greenery consists of plants , flowers , grasses & this place is maintained by L.s college, Mahatma Gandhi during champaran satyagraha came to muzaffarpur , he was received by Mr.Kriplani, Mr.Malkhani and their students at muzaffarpur junction and from junction Gandhi went to different places in muzaffarpur& this place is one of them, Gandhi ji take bath on this place during champaran satyagraha, Many people come here for evening & morning walk & enjoy fresh air and nature ,Now a days this place consists of a well along with a black colour statue of Gandhi ji taking bath with a Mug(Lota) in his one of hand,this place not only enhances the beauty of L.S college but also enhances beauty of our Sweet City Muzaffarpur..
