My first memory about this temple is to going there with my Dadi Maa. This temple is situated in Pakki Sarai Road and devoted to Maa Durga. It is said that the idol of goddess Durga came out of the land & later temple was built there. Earlier very few came here for 'sadhna' but now a days alot of people come for sadhna and siddhi. But these are not the normal worshippers. A special haldi thing is offered to the goddess in an earthen bowl. In recent 10 years the temple became more famous. Hawan is also performed here and Bali pratha is also followed. The two Prasad I like the most is Besan ladoo & khichdi (which is specially made during Durga Pooja).

Muzaffarpur. The famous Maa Pitambari Baglamukhi Siddhpeeth situated on Kachi Sarai Road is not only Muzaffarpur but is the center of faith of the people of remote areas. There is an influx of devotees throughout the year. People come from far and wide to see the Ashtadhatu statue of Mata installed in the temple. They are happy when the mother is worshiped with turmeric and milk. It is believed that every wish sought with a sincere heart is fulfilled here.
History
It is said that the temple was established by Rupal Prasad, the great-grandfather of Mahant Ajit Kumar, about 285 years ago. The foundation of the present form of the temple was laid by Mr. Kumar between 1993-94. He studied engineering. He left his studies in the middle and returned. After learning Tantra sadhna from the mother, she awakened the Tantric consciousness in the temple from the left path and the south path. Later in the year 2004 the idol of Mother Tripura Sundari and Mother Tara and in the year 2006 the idol of Bhairav u200bu200bBaba was installed.

Famous temple in Muzaffarpur city. The best time to visit is in the evening when you can attend aarti but some crowds will be there. I prefer to visit in the morning to feel free and at peace.
