I recently had a highly disappointing experience with R.D Automobiles in Sivasagar when I took delivery of my XUV 300 W8 TGDI on December 30, 2022. Firstly, I was disappointed to find that the vehicle I received did not match the specifications that I had booked, specifically the color tone. Additionally, the vehicle was not cleaned or sanitized and had already been driven for 100 km, which was not communicated to me during the purchase process. Furthermore, the dealer's showroom did not have enough space for storing vehicles, and the salesperson, Rajat Singha, took the vehicle home the previous day of delivery which speaks volumes about the unprofessional behavior of the dealer at Sivasagar.

Moreover, the accessories installed on the vehicle were not done to my satisfaction, and the fog lamps were not working properly, which required me to take the vehicle to the Dibrugarh dealer (which is about 100kms from where I stay) for software installation. I find it very inconvenient to have to take my car all the way to Dibrugarh to have them fixed. Had the dealer informed me that the fog lamps would not work until taken to Dibrugarh, I wouldn't have installed them in the first place.

To add to the disappointment, I was charged 9300 more than the amount charged by RTO for the car's registration. Additionally, even after paying Rs. 20000 for the Mahindra Shield 2 years extended warranty during the time of purchasing the car, no one from R.D Automobiles have bothered to activate it even after multiple contacts, and they haven't even provided the sales receipt for many other things.

Lastly, I was disappointed with the lack of post-sales service provided by R.D Automobiles in Sivasagar. The service center could not handle anything other than just regular oil changes and maybe fastening loose screws and bolts.

I would advise potential customers to exercise caution when dealing with R.D Automobiles in Sivasagar and their sales executive Rajat Singha, and to consider other options for their vehicle purchase and service needs. If I had known that this would be the kind of after-sales service at this dealer, I would have considered buying the car from Jorhat itself as it would have been nearer to me and 24 years ago we bought our first car, a Mahindra Commander Jeep from there and even then the experience was quite good. I was a kid then, but I still remember.

I would appreciate it if the dealership could provide me at least with the contact details of the manager or the CEO of R.D Automobiles, so that I can bring this matter to their attention and discuss it with them directly.

If anyone from the management of R.D Automobiles reads this review, I would appreciate if you could do the needful and address the issues I have highlighted.

Update as on 18th January 2023:

After the review, I had the opportunity to meet with Binanda Kalita, Branch Manager of R.D. Automobiles in Sivasagar, who personally assured me that he would work to resolve all of my issues as quickly as possible. He specifically mentioned that he will look into the issue of excess amount charged for registration and will make sure to resolve it as soon as possible.

I would like to inform you that my main concern was regarding the salesperson who was my first point of contact and stopped responding after the sales of the vehicle. The management had no idea about this, but the manager assured me that he will look into the matter and take necessary actions.

Mahindra RD Automobiles, they are very good in customer service with well behaved staffs. But one thing that lacks is the space like customer lounge. Recommend others to purchase any Mahindra Vehicle from this showroom.
