The perfect place for a Simple and quiet break. We were traveling through and it was beautiful greenery and trails. A small stream. Clean restrooms and Picnic tables to sit at and eat. Also larger pavilion that can be rented out.
We climbed the stairway to observe the mounts. Make sure you take time to go to the pavilion to learn the history of the mounts.
The nature was wonderful- butterflies ???? and room to run and have children stretch.
Parking lot was large and plenty of parking. Donation system in place- make sure you support your parks.
Water spigot for dogs to get a drink.

I went here a week ago with a friend and my small dog. There were a wide variety of trails in both the drier forest and the more humid, dense forest. There were multiple bridges to walk across and cool places to see and observe the natural environment. The admission is cheap and the mounds are also pretty cool. It is definitely worth the trip!

Awesome State Park ! Lovely trees ! One Indian Mounds ! I've been to several Sunday afternoon Drum Circles there.
Will go back & walk trails soon.
