As one of the oldest Assamese cuisine restaurant, it's sad to see that Gam Delicacy has been out of track for a while now. Last, when I visited it, the atmosphere was good as before which do provides a good sense of Assamese tradition & culture. Even the staff was well trained & well behaved who tried their level best to provide the best experience. But here's now, where the the experience goes a bit down. First of all, the washrooms for me were not to the mark which was not expected from a restaurant of this caliber, they were a bit smelly & also the hand dryer was not in working condition. Following up, the food for which the restaurant was well renowned, has lived up to its legacy. The Assamese food which people used to be proud of has changed a lot. As an Assamese myself, I can truly say that even the type of rice selected was good but the rice was overcooked. Also, the mutton was too spicy which could be no-no for a lot especially kids. Also, the mutton could have been cooked better since it was feeling more rubbery.
This was all about my review. I don't have any intentions of demeaning the restaurant, instead I would feel proud that they take this review constructively & would work upon their flaws. Afterall, they are one of the many who can represent Assamese culture in a good way in front of the world.

10/10 authentic Assamese food. Worth all the money. From the complimentary soup served before the meal to the kheer served as a desert at the end, everything was top notch.
