Beautiful welcome board before entering Digboi town. It is a historical town of upper Assam in Tinsukia district and and also known as the Oil City of Assam. The first oil well in Asia was drilled here. The first refinery was started here as early as 1901. Crude oil was discovered here in late 19th century and first oil well was dug in 1866.

A beautiful, well illustrated landmark to greet you when you enter Digboi and is just near the road. You can take pictures too, for memories if you're visiting this place for holiday or work purposes as Digboi is known as oil city of India and first ever oil well drilled in Asia was here.
