I swiggied chiken dry fry with bambooshoot and it tasted good.While scrolling down I saw names of many restaurants and when the name "Chiphoong" appeared I thought of ordering from this restaurant and the dish turned out to be a tastier one .I liked the name much as it means "baahi (flute)" in Assamese (as far as I know) and Chiphoong/Siphung is a Bodo term.

Chiphong is one of the famous ethnic family restaurant . The food is totally authentic and exclusively ethnic with no added masalas . The food tastes scrumptious ???? with all the local herbs and local ingredients. Well maintained and clean . The ambience gives ethnic vibes of a village cozy home crafted with bamboo . Separate cabins are available. Rest rooms are available and need to be more clean though . Ordered tupula bhat , pork pulao ,pork tupula , chicken tupula , duck telbiyali, chicken with thyme and tenga dal .

Best place in Dibrugarh to serve authentic ethnic food. Been a regular here for the past 4years and the quality of food remains the same. Must try: chicken bambooshoot dry fry, chicken boil with bamboo shoot.
