Wow what a wonderful experience, we just came to check in here but knowing by our looks (tribal) they didn't let us in, we came all the way from Meghalaya to explore not just arunachal but all other parts of NE and such experience is really disappointing .It's 8.30 pm and we needed urgent room or ground to spend one night . They only accept foreign tourist it seems, but the way they chased us out was just wow. What a wonderful way to greet tourist.

Mishmi Hill Camp should be your best place to stay for 2 to 3 nights while in Roing. The owner, Jibi Pulu, who himself is an Idu-Mishmi, is kindhearted and very friendly in nature. He believes that development offers its own risks, such as resource exploitation, unrestricted growth and construction, and locals being cheated. So, you can anticipate that the accommodations in his own homestay will be very rudimentary and not particularly tourist-oriented. However, the location is paradise for nature enthusiasts. I can assure you that there are very few sites in India with such a pristine environment. The lodge has five rooms built in the traditional style where you can revel in the lap of nature. You can learn about the local people, their culture and cuisine etc. You can also go for treks, walks or bird watching from this place.

Being from the travel trade, Jibi struggled to connect tourism and conservation so that locals could earn a sustainable living. Meeting a person with such a mindset is therefore a further motivation to visit this location.

Very bad experience. As we were a group of five family's so we booked five cottages, but the cottages are not well maintained
And had a very bad experience during our morning breakfast as we ordered Puri sabji for breakfast for all of us but for somehow the quantity of Puri sabji shorted so we said may be by mistake it happened so please give us two plates more or instead what ever you all have. But in reply on of their lady very rudely replied "Khana nahi hai jaoo bahar ja ke khaoo".. and also told us to just go out of their homestay we said what's the behaviour we have paid for our stay paid for everything why you all are behaving so rudely and when we complain this to the owner he also supported his staff. So we asked for the bill paid it and left the place as soon as possible as we saw the lady calling and gathering local boys to threatened us further. And when we were leaving she said "jaoo mar jaoo accident hoke to our kids". As I am a regular traveler of the hills but didn't face this type of rudeness but was really shocked and ashamed of their behaviour in front of my family. So I request you all to avoid this place if you can.
