Most of the people come down by walk and go up through Rope way... This makes lot of waiting while going upwards (almost 1hr). Rope way will help you travel only 70% and 30% you need to walk down again to reach River. I suggest only if you want to experience rope way you can go. But after waiting in the line I decided not to take next time. If you are energetic you better go by steps, it saves lot of time.

Near to srisailam it's also one time checkout place .....you can enjoy here rope way .... it's almost 300 mtrs long rope way taking almost 3-4 mins .....one can reach from top of hill to bottom of hill near patalganga river.....In bottom u can enjoy boating and akkamahadevi caves tour also.....

For pilgrims coming to Srisailam, the Ropeway offers a thrilling experience while on pilgrimage. There are hardly any attractions at this holy hill town other than the Lord Shiva temple. The only attraction is the Ropeway to Pathala Ganga (పాతాళగంగ). And after you reach the river level, you have a boat ride that takes pilgrims or tourists on a ride up till the dam. When the water levels are high, the ride offers breathtaking views of the mountains and the reservoir. Definitely worth visiting. Ideal time Monsoon and winter seasons. To and fro, the ride costs Rs.80 per head.
