One of the most beautiful temples I have seen. A place for the believers of Lord Shiva.

The architecture of the temple is too good to be described and has to be seen to be experienced.

Located in the heart of the city the temple complex is huge and need a lot of time to visit the place In full.

The oldest Lord Shiva temple in Proddatur town. The name is similar to the famous south Indian sea shore temple Rameswaram in tamilnadu.
The shiva lingam is placed by Lord Sri Ram. We can see the finger prints of Lord Rama on the lingam.
The lingam is situated in a well from which always water is floating.
The water level is standard even if we pour lot of water on lingam or remove water from it.
Maha Shiva ratri festival and kartika masam poojas will be held very spiritually.
Abhishekam will be done on every masa sivaratri evening.
Sri sankaracharya placed Srichakram in the Rajarajeswari temple located beside the Shiva temple.

Very popular temple of Lord Shiva in Proddatur town. Historical references dated back to Lord Rama dynasty were available as the shivalinga was made by Rama with sand for performing his morning Pooja.
