Very cordial and welcoming staff. Clean and hygienic for this amount. Dum Dum Metro is close by and it was easy to commute to city. Enjoyed the stay and breakfast.
They are little bit strict regarding the breakfast and dinner timings but that's manageable. Stuffs are very polite, helpful and well behaved. Food was homely, hygienic and very much tasty. Room was beyond my expectations and that was super clean. They will provide free RO Water, free Wifi with good speed, free News Paper, Terrace for drying clothes and flip-flop to walk. I will surely recommend this place.

We travelled to Kolkata to attend workshop on statistical analysis which was organised by Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata in 2016. We booked Youth Hostel as I have the life membership.
The rooms were tidy and clean. The staff was very humble and supportive. They helped us in every possible way.
The food was Ok but they still try their best to make it right.
It was little difficult to locate the hostel but we manage to find it.
We had a pleasant stay. I suggest everyone who is travelling to Kolkata should carry their identity card with themselves and youth hostel is a pocket friendly and pleasant stay. Get your life membership. All the best.

Loved the stay at YHK for two days in April. Very cordial and welcoming staff. Clean and hygienic for this amount. Dum Dum Metro is close by and it was easy to commute to city. Enjoyed the stay and breakfast.
