Good spread of groceries, fresh vegetables, fish, poultry and fruits. Accomodates both regular stall owners as well as struggling and economically challenged vegetable vendors in the adjoining pavements. A good place for all wallets. Should have better restrooms and prominent monitoring by legal meteorological department for correct weight monitoring as this is a concern here.
The fish department is wide and may be better than some neighboring markets. Comparatively under rated.

Good place for buying fresh vegetables, fruits, fish and chicken etc. Not very clean place but products available are fresh and reasonably priced. Parking is a problem there with the road being No Parking Zone and by lanes encroached by hawkers.

Lansdowne Vegetable Market is mid-sized and has two parts- one on the road and the other covered. The fish market is inside a concrete structure. Though not as large as Gariahat or Bekbagan, the market is lively and some bargaining can be done. Occasionally, large supply of vegetables and fruits come. What is required is renewal and reconstruction. I hope someone takes a fancy to it
