Origin | The origin of this festival can be traced back to the period of the Mahabharata. According to a legend, Durga was created by Lord Vishnu to fight the demons and help the gods. The 10-day long festival is celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm all over the country. Huge pandals are erected and colorful decorations are made during the course of the festival.
Celebration | Families pray to the goddess for blessings and prosperity, and offer her fruits, sweets and prayers. Like every year FD block Durga Protima and over all theme and decorations were good...one of the finest....also lots of stalls food .as well as others stuff, handmade jewellery, idol.etc. .

This year the theme is Jungle Book. Lighting is beautifully done. Liked the emphasis on audio creating a vibe of jungle. Staff is there providing hand sanitizer sprays and ample space is there so as to maintain social distancing. Parking is made available quite far though, around 500meters. Maybe there was a parking nearby too which I was not aware of. Ample food stalls are there so you can grab a good meal.
