Live Free Hostel Rishikesh

I visited with my wife & kid as I had booked a private deluxe room on 2nd floor.
Room and the entire hostel is spacious. Bathroom could have been a little neat as the entire hostel is a little old.
The heater is big and gives enough hot water!
They have a washing machine to dry clothes outside the room which is a big plus point.
Good food is served at their cafe.

This place is pet-friendly as I saw a few dogs in the hostel.
Definitely a hostel to hop by.

Overall, I had a good experience at this place. The staff was friendly and the food was tasty. However, there are a few areas that could be improved.

The dormitory could use a night lamp. The only light in the room was a tubelight.
The dining time could be improved. The food was good, but it took a long time to prepare. This could be a problem for people who are on the go.

Overall, I would recommend this place to others. However, I would suggest that they make the changes mentioned above to improve the experience.

Here are some specific suggestions for improvement:

The dormitory could add a night lamp to each room. This would make it easier for guests to see at night.
The dining room could add more staff to help with food preparation. This would reduce the wait time for guests.

We stayed at the Live Free hostel on our way up and also on our return from a trekking trip to Chandrashila. We had booked private rooms. The rooms were clean and very well maintained and had all the basic amenities.
The bathrooms are clean and well maintained.
They have a lovely sit out area with a couple of chairs and a hammock and a chair swing which is a great place to relax with friends and family.
The check in and check out were smooth and quick some of the bigger groups could take a lesson or two from Live Free Hostel.
They have a cafe which serves a large variety of dishes and the food is really good.
Mr Rohit and Mr Avatar were really helpful.
Would definitely recommend the Live Free Hostel if you are visiting Rishikesh, would be good to book well in advance as they do get full really quick ,no surprises there!
