Pashan Devi temple is one of the many shrines at Nainital which holds a strong devotee base. Known to be the Goddess of Stone-pelters, Pashan Devi is worshipped as a representation of the Nav Durga or Nine incarnations of Goddess Durga. The temple is a complete stone structure and the Goddess is also worshipped in stone form. A large number of devotees visit the Pashan Devi temple as it is located in close vicinity to the Naini lake.
An eternal flame or Akhand Jyoti is lit at the temple since its formation. Water is offered to the Nave Durga at the temple by the devotees which flows into the Naini lake after touching the feet of the Goddess. Clothes and Sindoor are also offered to the Goddess at the temple.
