As the name suggests this the same cave where the Guru Dronacharya meditated to gain the knowledge & expertise in Military arts.
Guru Dronacharya who was the royal teacher of Pandavas and Kauravas was believed to reside in the caves. So the caves are now known as named Dronagiri Cave.
