Originating from Pindari Glacier in Bageshwar District of Uttarakhand, the river after covering some distance and merging with few other rivers like sunderdunga river becomes our revered river Saryu.
During the 2013 kedarnath cloud burst this river too wrecked havoc and washed away anything which came on its way.
Khati village was saved from its fury due to its distance from the river bed.
Pindari Glacier trek route winds its way around this river going upstream. Dwali and khurkiya are the stops between khati village and Pindari Glacier.
