It is huge rock , when you hit with stone it will give you sound of empty Vessel. A unique type of stone. There are many old stories about this stone and its importance. Sad to see that it is in a neglected state as their is no maintenance. It is opposite to Basara bus stop.

A rock formation which has so many stories behind it, but of which very little is known by the present generation of the Basara denizens. One has to ask an old-timer about its relevance.
Located just adjacent to the Basara bus stand, there is a local legend that kings of yore buried the ornaments of the Goddess under this formation. When one strikes the rock with a stone, people keeping their ear on the other side can hear musical notes as if metal objects have been struck.
A small park has been built around this rock formation, in which one rock is balanced on another.
The park & the rock display signs of complete neglect, and there are few who have heard about it. I've been visiting Basara since 1985, so I always visit this place.

It's a amazing location. When we hit the stone we hear the sound as metal.
