The lake is quite beautiful I must say. Infact this is the only proper beautiful lake in Shillong. This is a huge natural waterbody, unlike Ward’s Lake which is small and man-made (and basically a park). There are 3-4 points on the main Guwahati-Shillong Road from where one can see the view. On a clear sunny day one is bound to get some mesmerizing views of the lake. Entry fee is 50 and inside you can roam also. Boating is also available and is quite costly. So it’d be wise if avoided.

One of the largest artificial lakes in the country. Good scenery. There are some dyke view points and some resorts having the view.. Best at November to March

The beauty of the lake can be seen from this view point and it's vast mountains the green trees add more majestic beauty to it
