A place where Rabindranath Tagore visited and stayed, wrote his famous pieces Red Oleander (Rakta karabi) and Sesher Kabita. The place has a small museum where some belongings of Rabindranath Tagore is displayed. There is also a statue of Tagore. Presently it hosts the temporary campus of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.

In 1919 Rabindranath Tagore stayed at this bungalow at Shillong where he wrote the famous "Sesher Kobita". Many of his belongings are being kept there, such as his bed, used utensils, his paintings and writings. The area is now used as temporary campus of the local legislative assembly.

Absolutely gorgeous, English bungalow now converted to Shillong Art Gallery keeping the true spirit of the poet, philosopher and artiste R N Tagore, Nobel Laureate.
