One of the marvels of nature and leaves you spell bound when you see it in person. A root bridge takes about 100 years to get completed and it is beautiful to see how the locals are guiding nature to make these bridges happen.
There is a third bridge in the making as well and the bridge is strong enough to take the weight of humans.
There are tall steps to walk down so you need to have strong knees and good enough stamina to do this. Best to visit this place early in the morning to make full use of your time and do this trek at your pace.
It takes about 2 hours to do this trek depending on your pace, you can do this faster. But the sight around is so mesmerizing that you want to immerse in it. Loved the butterflies around, pleasant breeze and also dancing plants in the breeze.
Do carry water along although there are snack and water stalls at the start but as you go forward there’s only one small shop at the end of the trek. So best to stock up. Overall, a trek to remember and the root bridge are nature’s art of marvel.

Worth visiting a place at cheerapunji.
3000 stairs descend and ascend to the living root bridge takes around 1 to 1.5 hours to reach one way that depends on breaks and stamina. Be hydrated.
Can spend a good time here, water is flowing down the root bridge.
Not recommended for one having knee and cardiac problems.
Nature is well maintained by village people, they are very polite and understand the English language. Recommend to start early and climb up early, after sunset it's difficult to climb as no lights will be there. Climbing takes around 3hours
