The temple is very old and very well maintained. But on festivals and on various occasions, people come and perform different rituals at the lake nearby. No cleanliness is maintained then. It's heartbreaking to see plastic bags clogging the lake. Even though dustins and visarjan vessels are available, people still throw the flowers, etc in the lake. Strict rules should be made and the lake should be maintained.
Update on the cleaning: I visited today again, on New moon. Despite all types of poojas and rituals happening, the temple area was very clean today!!! Very impressed. Kudos

Khandeshwar Shiv Temple
This is a small temple of God Shiva, but landmark location. A pond with ducks, surrounding garden and sitting space attracts people of all ages there. Very old temple and well maintained.
The temple is open to public and offers Puja in morning and evenings.
Mahashivratri is a big festival celebrated here.
The temple is situated on the sides of the lake of Khandeshwar and is a popular religious destination for devotees.
Best place in crowded Panvel. Evening is best time to visit. You can feel relaxed and blessed. Shiv Temple is also well maintained. Kids can enjoy a lot by watching duck and turtle. There is space for walking also.
Good place with garden, lake and Shiv Temple togather. Perfect place for family outing.
