A beautiful mosque built by Qudsia Begum, a Lady Nawab of Erstwhile Nawabi of Bhopal, not to be confused by Taj-ul-Masjid Masjid or Moti Masjid
This one is smaller & is in Chowk Bazar
Although smaller but is equally magnificent in its architecture having 3 domes and 2 bulky minarets ????????

Jama Masjid in Bhopal was built by Qudsia Begum who had aslo built the famous Gauhar Mahal. The Begums ruled Bhopal and shows how women had the power to rule and build something which stands till today. The Begum were very wise. Their knowledge on Islamic architecture is well portrayed in the elements of the entire building. The place is mostly deserted apart from tourists travelling there. I request others to upload the correct pictures of the Masjid as few people have Added Taj ul Masajid pictures. Beware of the wrong pictures. I am sharing few pictures when i visited there.

Jama Masjid was established during the reign of Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar. The mosque built by Qudisiya Begum in 1837 reflects the mastery of Islamic culture. The attraction and religious importance of the mosque attracts devotees from all over Bhopal as well as from far and wide.
