A simple and small bakehouse that serves great puffs, donuts and chips. The puff-patties are relishingly wonderful. Prices too are within the affordable range.

Well….Well here we go.
I have seen this shop from the past 25 years at-least but have never had the chance to go here. But on this Saturday myself and wife made a visit there. We bought marble cake, cutlet, cream bun, short bread, chicken sandwich and diamond(sweet).
Except for the sandwich and cutlet all other were worse than even a normal outlet. The cream bun was not cooked at all, the bun was raw and flour was as it is. The marble cake had become stale and tasted bad. The short bread cookies was same stale and tasted bad. The diamond was tasting with bad oil just like the sweets that you buy from a normal small shop at the roadside.
I normally don’t write reviews, but when you see a shop at a same place for the past 25 years you assume that it has something in it thats made it sustain like this. But alas it is not the way and I don’t want people to have the misconception hence this one…

The best plum cake in its most traditional taste and quality in Trivandrum hands down, unlike the so-called rich plum, spicy plum, fruit plums and what nots that are marketed by the new age bakers nowadays!!! Long back when there were none of these new-age, pastry churning "bakers" in Trivandrum ,the white oil paper wrapped with a circular seal above was the favorite plum cake for us as kids. In between when the onslaught from the new age "bakers" started Michaels seemingly lost its foothold. Thought they would never be able to come back but after tasting their plum cake during this Xmas ,wont be surprised if they make it back as the best traditional bakers in town again. Yes they sure have the usual niggles and issue like staff shortage , some delicacies not upto the mark etc hogging them but I do hope they are able to settle these in due time. For myself I already know where to go for the true traditional plum cake for next Christmas season.
