The view was beautiful but stairs really make you work and the ropeway was off. They were preparing that for navratri. The food stalls are all over there to the top.

Jai maa bamleshwari
This is one of the most important devi temple in chhatisgarh. Located in the city of dongargarh, close to 100 kms from Raipur. The temple is situated on a hilltop and one has to climb more than 1000 stairs to reach the sanctum. The temple also has a ropeway for those who cannot climb the stairs. I have visited this temple on multiple occasions. There is a strong feeling of peace and divinity when you reach the sanctum.

The history of maa bamleshwari devi shaktipeeth is about 2200 year old ,Two temples of Maa Bamleshwari are world famous in the historical and religious city of Dongargarh. A temple is situated on a hill 16 hundred feet high which is famous as Badi Bamleshwari. Climbed about 1100+ steps (approx 30 minute walk) to reach the temple of Goddess Bamleshwari
